Emagic responded positively to a local initiative from a group of enthusiastic young people from Targu Mures and in 2017 started Romania’s first boutique festival, AWAKE.
For 3 editions the festival took place at the historical Teleki Estate, amongst the woodland and banks of the Mures river, as an immersive summer escape.
Tens of thousands of fans danced to a diverse mix of eclectic sounds, with drum & bass and electro sitting alongside indie, pop, rock and punk, as established global acts joined up with breakthrough local acts on the stages of AWAKE.
